Why we won WWII

I have heard many Baby Boomer talk show hosts wonder: How could we possibly have won WWII, if the Left had then raised such vociferous opposition to our involvement, vs. their strident opposition to our cuurent war efforts in Iraq. The question arises because; being Baby Boomers, they are a bit light on historical perspective. WWII was before their time.

Indeed; the Press was Pro-America back then. The difference between then and now: In fact, the Left was stridently Isolationist, until Hitler launched Operation Barbarossa, invading the Soviet Union in June 1941.

Upon the Pearl Harbor attack, the Left vigorously supported our entry into the war, and our war effort..After all, if we didn't save their Communist Utopia from the Nazis, who would? Hitler declared war on us Dec 8, 1941, before our Declaration of War that day.

Additionally, the Hard Left's enthusiastic participation in our war effort, positioned them to steal our technology for Joe Stalin, and ; to infiltrate and capture our institutions, in pursuit of their Revolution.. When confronted by concerns about this situation, the naive FDR once stated; "Some of my best friends are Communists!"

Of further note: Communists were often the backbone of the Resistance in Nazi Occupied Europe, and elsewhere. They had been organized and fighting Nazis, from long before Hitler's aascent to power. Their experience in underground operations, and Rabble Rousing, was extensive. In China, they suspended their war against the Nationalists, to fight against the Japanese.

I am not comforted in presenting this historical perspective. For the Hard Left to succeed, they must first erase historical perspective, as they largely have succeeded in doing.
